I didn’t remember it either until I re-watched it to write the review. I also didn’t remember that Edward doesn’t hire Vivian for sex, not at first anyway; he hires her to give him directions while he gets lost in a bad neighborhood driving Stuckey’s stick shift. So the anti-prostitution crowd’s insistence that this movie instructs women that prostitution will always end with a rich marriage is even more insulting than I used to think… Kit and Vivian remain incredulous about what’s happening (instead of “oh yeah, another one of those millionaires wants to book a whole week,”) and Edward is supposed to be an accidental client. It’s pretty clear the whole thing is a fluke.

Either way, cute review.

Yes! This soundtrack should rival Dirty Dancing‘s but it’s somehow been forgotten.
