A lot of rappers exaggerate or even lie about how they were big time gangsters, drug dealers, thugs and armed robbers. Perhaps being a sex worker or a stripper isn’t “gangster” or “hood” enough for the rap and hip-hop world so Cardi is just exaggerating or even lying about robbing customers. A customer could have passed out drunk and she helped herself to his money or she is just repeating someone else’s story. Then again she might have just made the whole thing up to get more street credibility. Whatever the case may be I think this will help her career way more than it could possibly hurt it.

I am so very proud of you for writing this. It’s clearly stated, well supported, and says EVERYTHING IVE WANTED TO SAY but didn’t have the ability to about Cardi. All the men and women posting shit about her and comparing her to Cosby and R Kelly had me so upset because it was such a false and irresponsible comparison. a+++++++++++

Exactly! I love this. For every asshole writing an op-ed/free advertisement about how she’s really more of a therapist than a whore, there’s 100 survival sex workers whose job isn’t to perform authentic eroticism for discerning gentlemen or graciously hold men’s hands while they navel gaze at their invariably misogynistic fetishes. Their job is to survive. We are not obliged to be model citizens in an environment that actively endangers our lives.
