I am so sorry for what we as a society of bigoted, small minded, hypocrites have done to you and other transgendered people. Not just SWs, but trans men and women in all walks of life. I know many of my thoughts and words in the past would have been hurtful to you and I regret and apologize for my transmysoginy. Thank you precious one for sharing your struggles and heart breaks. Not long ago I was in a different camp than I am now, and I am happy that I have progressed.

Knowledge is key. What people are ignorant of, they are often afraid of or repulsed by. Getting to know your stories, and bit by bit, turning fear and hatred to love and acceptance is the only way we grow as a society.

That’s so scary what dangers you face with being outed. It sucks that you have to keep quiet due to how everyone else may react. But even without that, I don’t think that it’s anyone’s business, you have no obligation to if you don’t want to. And it’s fucked up because a lot of people seem to think that you do.

I knew a trans woman for a while. She refused to answer questions people asked in regards to whether she was “fully” reassigned. The way she put it was, does anyone else get hounded to talk about what’s between their legs as a topic of conversation? Is that considered appropriate for people who are not trans? She really had a point, that shit was really rude.

I’m sorry that you have to deal with transmisogyny. It’s relatively common and I hope that some day it isn’t.
