Wow, you have a really different (and imo pretty fucked) reading of this interview I conducted than I do.

In fact this seems like a pretty deliberate twisting. I don’t stand for any kind of anti-survivor bullshit.

1) being a survivor or surviving something does not disempower or say anything about agency, and people who say this about victims or the word victim or survivors or the word survivor are actually the ones slandering us, and apparently projecting because they are the ones doing this when they deny our words and 2) of course we are responsible for our choices but people who like to lay this at the feet of survivors are generally going for some kind of insidious victim blaming. Mags may not identify that way (“survivor”) but I sure as fuck do. And she is my personal friend and I happen to know she respects that. All of that.
